The Goliad Special Education Cooperative is accepting applications for a Speech Therapist – SLP, CCC or SLP-A – for the 2022-2023 School year. Qualifications for a SLP includes Education/Licensure: Master’s Degree, ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence, Bilingual preferred. For a SLP-A: Education: Bachelors’ in Communication Disorders and licensure. Experience: School experience preferred. SLP, CCC: qualified to supervise an assistant, if needed. Job Title: Special Education Administrative Assistant
Wage/Hour Status: Based on Experience, 220 days per school year
Reports to: Special Education Director
Dept./School: Goliad Special Education Cooperative – Refugio ISD
Job Site: Goliad, TX
Primary Purpose:
Provide reception and clerical assistance for the efficient operation of the special education program. Process and maintain records and fulfill records requests. Process daily mail, incoming and outgoing. Communicate with the GSEC Staff, when needed. Maintain time and effort on staff. Maintain the monthly calendar for the organization. Prepare materials for training. Update Administrator as needed.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma, GED, or above
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of the special education process, preferred
Proficient computer skills
Effective organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to operate multi-line phone system
Ability to maintain confidentiality is critical
Experience:
One-year clerical experience in office setting, with school or special education records preferred
