Differentiated Instruction - Meeting the needs of the varied students within your classroom.
The varied learners within our classrooms and their individualized complexities demand every bit as much study and preparation from the teacher as does the curriculum content itself.  Students should always be at the forefront of our thinking as we implement, make changes, and reflect upon our own professional practices.  Differentiated Instruction is a model that acknowledges the diversity of learners in your classroom that represent the varied sub-groups and populations.  It offers a framework for addressing learner variance as a critical component of instructional planning.  Our plan at Refugio Junior High will be to craft powerful curriculum and ensure academic success for the full spectrum of learners in our classrooms.

Primary Goal of Differentiated Instruction
Ensure that we focus on processes and procedures that ensure effective learning for varied individuals.
